Job Description – Superintendent
 
Boaz Construction is a design-forward, boutique construction company based in Indianapolis, IN that specializes in light-medium commercial build outs, as well as high-end new residential and remodel work. We are looking for a Project Superintendent for full time, on-site management for both commercial and residential projects.

Qualifications:
-       Must be qualified to work in the United States
-       3+ years of commercial and residential construction experience
-       Previous construction management experience
-       Valid state driver’s license
-       Computer & Smartphone literacy required – firm grasp on Microsoft Excel & Word
-       Able to quickly read, analyze, and interpret complex blueprints and drawings
-       Familiarity and general understanding of Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC
-       Able to lift 50lbs
-       Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
-       Familiarity with PlanSwift Estimating Software a plus
 
 
Responsibilities:
-       Work Supervision – overseeing construction efforts at a specific worksite
-       Coordination of subcontractors on job site
-       Follow up with subcontractors to ensure completion of work performed
-       Implement and attend project progress meetings
-       Ensure project proceeds in a timely manner and adheres to deadlines set in place
-       Manage & oversee self-performed scopes of work on project
-       Trouble-shoot and problem solve every day issues that arise; offer timely and safe solutions
-       Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes
-       Ability to look critically at craftsmanship and anticipate problems
-       Track cost analysis to beat project budgets
-       Facilitate excellent communication between management, client, and subcontractors
-       Anticipate next steps on project
-       Schedule delivery of needed materials and labor requests
-       Have all materials and information ready and easily explainable to subcontractors
-       Identify long lead-time items and procure them in a timely manner
-       Identify the ‘critical path’ of a project and successfully navigating through it
